This tour is themed around the Japan Heritage story “Kirin no Machi.”
The main theme of the story is the wind blowing in from the Sea of Japan.
The landscapes and hidden scenic spots shaped by the wind—through sand, waves, and snow—and the traditional Kirin Lion Dance, which has been passed down through harsh seasonal winds, all form the narrative of this heritage.
During the tour, you will have opportunities to experience cultural assets that make up the Japan Heritage.
.
\\ The tour theme of “Hamasaka” is the “Gift of Sand” nurtured by the wind //
Hamasaka is a town built on a sandbar formed by sediment carried by the Kishida River and deposited by the waves. Due to its geographical features, it came to be known as “Hamasaka,” meaning “a town with a slope by the beach.”
Why not take a stroll through this town and experience the harmony of history and nature that defines this Japan Heritage site?
